The Salem UU Congregation will be a remote site to view the UU General Assembly’s business meeting on June 14-16 and program on June 19-20. Additional information is in the GA Program Book and the GA Schedule. The General Assembly (GA) is the annual meeting of the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA), where participants gather to worship, witness, learn, connect, and make policy decisions for the Association through a democratic process. We are living in a moment marked by rapid change and deep uncertainty. Many of us are carrying concern for our democracy while also balancing busy lives, economic pressures, caregiving responsibilities, and the ongoing question of where and how to invest our time, energy, and hope. GA remote sites make it easier for people to participate in GA, connect with fellow UUs, share their concerns about democracy and discuss how to preserve our democracy.

This year’s GA theme is Meet the Moment: Together Everywhere. We know there is a deep need in this moment to build and sustain community as Unitarian Universalists. Given the strain that our congregations and individual UUs face in the current political climate, when travel brings increased risks and person-to-person connection remains important to our continued thriving, we are leaning into this creative approach.

You do not need to register to attend a viewing of the business meeting on June 14-16. Registration is required for the GA Program. Below is the GA program grid showing west coast times.
